I also keep a separate parts score, but not necessarily because of cues. I do it because beam angles, ties over system breaks, horizontal placement of hairpins, and many other settings cannot be separately positioned in score and parts.
But it is still amazing how much easier have only 1 extra document for parts is compared with a document for every part. The linked parts feature is definitely a major improvement over Fin06 and earlier.
