IIRC, pitch bend goes from -8192 to 8192 with 0 being normal.

Hi Leigh,
Throw in a expression set to modify the pitchwheel. Assuming you are using the Notation instruments, the maximum pitchbend range (check the Finale documentation for the number) should result in a shift of 12 semitones up (+) or down (-) . So your expression should drop the pitchwheel by 1/24th of the maximum value.

That was my first idea also, but I'm uncertain about how to suggest he define the pitch-bend value.

Does the pitchwheel controller in GPO use the value range of 0-127 or is it like some on hardware synths where 0 equals no pitch bend up or down, so the range is -64 - 63? That would make a big difference in how to define the expression for playback.

The other big question is whether or not that expression would have to be assigned to every note in the cello part, or whether setting it once would affect all the other pitches until it was reset.
