Hi Chris,
Oh, okay. I misunderstood.
To clear a selected length of a longer Staff Style, you can set up an
an iKey (as I have always done -- I'm not sure if I even knew there
was already a built-in shortcut), or use the contextual menu.
Cheers,

Darcy,
That deletes the entire bar for it's unbroken length, not just the
selected measure (or part of a measure.) That was the great function
that the Clear key had before. I would typically apply slash
notation to the whole staff, then clear out a bar or two or a beat
or two here and there to put specialised content in. That work flow
is just a little harder now without the ability to clear a selected
section with one keystroke.

Hi Chris,
Select the STAFF STYLE (the horizontal stripe above the measure) --
not the measure -- and hit the delete key.

But as for Staff Styles, the Delete key clears the measure
contents even when I am in the Staff Tool. The Clear key used to
clear staff styles beautifully in one stroke; now I have to go to
the damned menu every time.
