For general reference, although it is focused more on performance than
arranging, may I suggest "Championship Concepts for Marching Percussion" by
Thom Hannum? Thom is Associate Director of the University of Massachusetts
Marching Band, a member of the DCI Hall of Fame, and former percussion
arranger for the Cadets, Star of Indiana, the Broadway show "Blast", and
others. There are usually copies available on Amazon

One way to get a sense of the arranging and notation is to search the web
for audition pieces for various groups. For instance, the Naval Academy Drum
& Bugle Corps has posted their audition pieces at
www.usna.navy.mil/USNADB/Candidates.html

I'm sure there are other sources, but as a former member of the Naval
Academy D&B drum line (long, long ago!) and the husband and father of UMASS
percussionists, these two came to mind.
