when i print, any manual adjustments i have made in MM rests (width,
adjust endpoint to avoid clef collisions) are removed because of the
"Format Parts Dialog" step in the printing process (which i
apparently have no control over):

is there a solution to this? and is there a reason why these stepos
are automatically done when i have never requested them? MM
suggested back in 2007 that this was a good thing, in case someone
forgot to update layout before pronting but they never did explain
what the pother step was for. i didn't care until now...
