I had some problems a while back when 2009 would crash when I tried to update and re-edit older files. SUPPORT told me to remove the Finale.ini and Finalemidi.ini files in the 2009 folder and in the hidden AppData file in my own folder.
It worked, but the .ini files only (it turns out) came back in the AppData folder, not the 2009 folder in the program files. I had more crashes to day and found the solution was to go to the AppData folder and delete the ini files. Now it works again.
