This is a well- documented problem in WinFin as well. The solution from MAKEMUSIC is to trash the Finale and Midi preference files.
I cannot say that this is the solution for MacFin though;-) Henry Howey Professor of Music Sam Houston State University Box 2208 Huntsville, TX 77341 (936) 294-1364 http://www.shsu.edu/music/faculty/howey.php Owner of FINALE Discussion List ________________________________________ From: Christopher Smith [[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2009 1:58 AM To: finale Subject: Re: [Finale] Human Playback Hanging In FinMac2008b Well. Assuming that an expression made using the tools that Finale provides could be considered to be unusual... Yeah, the advice is good. I find tempo marking are good candidates. As the playback hangs at 39%, check at around 39% of the way through the piece for expressions with tempo playback. Failing that, try deleting expressions IN A COPY OF THE FILE until you find the one, then you can delete that one from the real file.
