You might put the Bb chord on the 1st beat of the next measure and drag it
back to where you want it. Sort of a pain too, I guess.

If I have a whole note, say F, and I want to enter a F chord on beat 1
and then a Bb chord
on beat 3 is there an easy work around for this instead of having to
imput invisible rests in a different layer?
I've lost touch with this recentlly. It's a bit of a pain.
