selection, chose .tif, chose 300 dpi rez,, and saved.
In Word I dragged the pic onto the page but only about half of it
displayed. The box was about half white space. I dbl clicked the file
and discovered that's how it actually is, abt hal-captured.
Repetition produced the same results. I have many examples to insert,
would appreciate some guidance!

Richard, you may want to be happy with what you are getting! It's more
than many of us.
On Windows, "export selection" has not worked ifor many years, including
09, and still doesn't in 2010 - at least for me, and I seem to recall
others have reported the same problem with that function.
Whenever I need part of a page in a tiff file, I "export page" and then
crop it in an separate graphics program. Not hard, just takes an extra
minute.
