I wonder if the graphics card or the OS has anything to do
with things. My desktop is the one where things are working
fine (XPpro) but on my notebook (Vista Home Premium 64) in
page view the graphics selection export omits some data
(some staff lines and some stems) when I just tested it in
page view but seems to work fine in scroll view. And I just
tested it back in page view, exporting at 600dpi and all the
lines exported just fine. So even the part of this notebook
installation graphics export which is screwed up isn't
screwed up totally.
It seems to make no difference whether exporting jpg or tif
or png when it doesn't work properly.
My desktop computer (the one where things work properly) has
a ATI Radeon 9550 while my notebook (where things work
properly in scroll view but not in page viewhas a NVidia
GeForce 8600 M GS.
So there's another to chalk into the Partially Screwed Up
column. :-)

Weird! So, for those scoring at home, that's:
Screwed up:- one Mac2010, one Win 2010
OK: one Win2010
Anybody have any more to add to the tally, or, better, suggestions?

My installation of WinFin2010 doesn't have Graphics - export selection
screwed up. I just tested it, exporting it at 300dpi as a TIFF and it
exported completely as I had selected it.
No problems whatsoever.
I just double-clicked-and-dragged to select a section of the page and
then selected "export selection" and clicked okay, gave it a name and
then opened it in IrfanView and it's all there just as it should be.
