This probably has no relevance to Mac, but in Vista even if you are the administrator and the only user on the computer you have to run the program AS the administrator when you register. Instead of just clicking on the setup file (or maybe it's the finale.exe file) you RIGHT-click and select "run as administrator". Then your registration will 'stick'. Maybe there is a Mac equivalent of this procedure.
