Hi Dennis,
Did you really never get it activated? I emailed Daniel Spreadbury and
he was happy to set me up with an activation using only my Finale
serial number.

Yeah, wasted $99 for me. My Finale serial number wasn't good enough
for
Sibelius. They wanted me to deface the manual or send my original
CD. Despite
the fact I've been a visible Finale user for 15 years and even
corresponded
with them, not good enough. I had one Sibelius client (the reason I
got the
useless crossgrade) and weaned them off it. :)
