I met George at a famous "Third Stream" concert at Brandies in June of
1957 and worked with his sextet in New York and on tour in 1960 after
a couple of weeks of rehearsals at the Lenox School of Jazz. Who knew
then that those would turn out to have been the good old days. Sorry
to hear of his passing.
