I am going to name drop here, just because one of these pieces was
written for me! Chris Dench's Symphony No 4 is based on a single
tonality or chord. The fact that it has 31 notes in this particular
tonality, and that Chris doesn't agree with octave equivalence (i.e.
that all Cs are equal) may stretch the generally accepted idea of what a
chord is. The other piece is, or rather was, called "Ik(s)land[s]
fragment" and was written for a concert of piano music for me years ago.
The work is based on a section of his ensemble work Ik(s)land[s], and
has a 15 note tonality that is constant throughout the work.
If you can find recordings for the above, good luck!
