something not entirely clear here, i meant for the horizontal fit, how many measures in each system by having both parts in one system.
never done anything like this, but it seems to me linked parts would be great for this. score (2pno) and linked parts (each part). the score gives you an excellent idea of how much music can fit and work for both pages as a whole, but make sure to also check music spacing on pno1 stves and pno2 staves separately to see how the layout will look before finalizing the measures to "fit" on each system.
