Have you looked at the Swing Font set from Sigler Music (
www.jazzfont.com )?
It's from the same guy who did the Jazz Font and I find it far
superior
to the Jazz Font set included with Finale.
Includes the same characters as Jazz but less stylized.

The problems with the JazzFont (especially JazzCord and JazzText) are
the same as those with Swing, except the characters look a little
finer in Swing. The same missing glyphs, the same badly-formed
articulations and letters, the same lack of lower-case letters, the
same ridiculous hoops to jump through to come close to a legible and
complete chord suffix set.
I wish someone would do with JazzCord what Bill Sinclair did with his
ChordSuf font, in fact, I suggested it to John Clevenger.
