There are unfortunately many bugs (not undocumented behaviour, but just bugs) in dealing with accidentals in non-key-signature parts. I have come across some passages where it is simply impossible to have the accidental appear correctly, unless I re-enter the measure and add accidentals by entering the note as a NATURAL then hit the + or - key to add the acci.

Please document this as clearly as you can and pass it on to tech support. Unfortunately, those of us who deal with this simply work around the bugs now (talk to Darcy!) and don't bother complaining any more.

(BTW, ingenious operation there with the parentheses!)

is there a way to freeze the accidentals globally in their current state so that they show in a transposed part even if finale thinks it isn't necessary? i tried TGTool shift accis "calibrate only / don't move" but that didn't solve this problem.

i have spent lots of time working on a C score to force show accis in a variety of circumstances that are too complex to do via the show accis plugin and the doc is set up to show 1/4 tone (tempered) when the parentheses are used.

i discover that specific pitches are seen to not require an accidental in the part. this is a problem for me because there are many accis that have been altered to use an alternate character (accis with arrows up/down) to indicate non-tempered inflections.

so for the clarinets, a Bb_down in the score shows as Cnat (no accidental), when it should show in fact as a Cb_down (sim. Eb to Fnat). i have to change the character for these specific pitches anyways but there is double the work now: i have to go into speedy to freeze the acci before i can modify it in special tools to a natural_down.
