Unfortunately, I am in a bind - someone who had promised me an arrangement for a concert on May 15 has had some unexpected problems arise, and will not be able to deliver the arrangement as promised. Here's the deal - it's kind of bluegrass-y music, written by a Milwaukee-born singer/songwriter/composer who is currently living in California, named Randy Peterson. Randy is fully aware of the project and in approval; I would be glad to put you in touch with him for verification, if you'd like. The original agreement was for a suite of pieces from Randy's instrumental album "The Horse from Coulee Glen," about 10-15 minutes long. I am hoping that someone out there would be willing and able to do a string orchestra arrangement of some of the music - again, a suite, maybe 10 minutes long. I can send you MP3s and lead sheets of the six pieces we were originally going to do, and you can pick three or so to use. The complication is that I need it as soon as possible - as I said, the concert is on May 15, and my orchestra only rehearses once a week. The other complication is that I am paying for this out of my own pocket (Randy is my future brother-in-law), so I need it to be, frankly, cheap.
