[grumble] Yes, you have edit EACH AND EVERY stupid suffix in the tiny Chord Suffix Edit window, lowering each character by the required amount. As an alternative, you could find the same character in a different font (I noticed that the JazzCord sharps, for example, have way different default heights from the Jazz sharps, though they look very similar in every other way) and test it out to see if it helps.

I did this once, and it took me a week to do my entire library. I still didn't like the result perfectly (I was nudging items left and right, too.)
