Ah! I used to know this. Look somewhere about 79% of the way through
your piece, and you will probably find an expression that is defined
for playback somehow. I seem to remember that it is tempo? Say a rit
or a rall, or a "Q=72" or something, and it is duplicated in the
score on two different staves. Maybe a fermata? Maybe a FORMER tempo
change instruction that you duplicated because you liked its look
that now says "Close piano lid on head of clarinettist" but is still
defined for playback?
In any case, try deleting expressions from a COPY of your document,
say a chunk of measures around the 80% mark, and see if that solves
it. If it does, open up ANOTHER copy and try deleting expressions
again, only this time from a narrower range. It should only take four
or five tries to pinpoint the problem.
I wish I could remember the exact thing I found in mine. So many
bugs, so long ago...
