Here's what I posted on the MakeMusic Forum (Mac). I cross-post here
for the edification of the list members who aren't on the Forum.
Reply to one or the other as you wish, I will cross-post the reply:
Hi Justin,
Thanks for the quick reply. A few bugs that get under my bonnet
regularly are (in no particular order):
1) Screen whiting out, apparently related to displaying Staff Style
names.
2) JazzFont issues galore, including no รจ diacritical in JazzText
Extended (used to be there!), dots on eighth and sixteenth rests are
too far right (new in 2009, I think), parentheses in JazzFont chord
suffix libraries do not import into Maestro documents (font gets
substituted and parens are too low as a result) and a bunch more.
3) Speedy Entry flipping enharmonics with the 9 key STILL causes
issues, in some cases making it impossible to show a necessary
accidental, especially on transposed parts, and even more
particularly on non-key-signature transposed parts.
4) Articulations on Rhythmic Notation staff style items now default
to BELOW the staff, necessitating dragging them up or creating a new
articulation library with new positioning just for Rhythmic Notation.
This suddenly appeared in 2009.
5) If you ever change the size of any system in any part using the %
tool (or any method, really), then when new systems are created in
other existing parts they use THAT reduction instead of the default
reduction.
6) Finale will not save a PDF if there is a slash in the part name
(that Finale generates ITSELF!) If my staff is named "Alto Sax/Flute"
then Finale generates the part name automatically, but WILL NOT
create a PDF from that part.
7) Grace notes in linked voiced parts (like Flute 1 and Flute 2 on
the same score staff, voiced in separate parts) are too close to the
notes. This makes linked parts essentially useless, unless I create a
separate file for parts with all parts exploded to their own staves.
8) Smart Shape custom arrowheads do not export to EPS, causing the
operation to fail (no EPS created.) Man, this one cost me some time
to track down!
9) .mus files can get overwritten by audio files created from inside
Finale if you save them to the same directory.
10) Many, many issues with Chord Suffixes, like the Scale Chords
command ruining manual kerning, spacing between suffixes is useless
when checked in Music Spacing options, the microscopic Edit Suffix
window where the nudge keys don't work, inability to create a chord
like C over Bb7 with a horizontal line between them (C over Bb is
fine, the suffix ruins it), oh I could go on for a while.
11) Graphic expressions do not position reliably, changing willy-
nilly according to staff reduction, spacing and moon phase (or
something random!)
So, any of these bugs addressed? Some are new, some are long-
standing. I imagine that if you ever add Unicode support or support
OSX 255 character filenames there will be an announcement with a
ticker-tape parade, so I didn't even ask about those.

There were a number of fixes with 2011, do you have any specifics
you were concerned about? We'll be posting the full Read Me soon
that highlights some of the fixes.
We should also have a demo version up for download as we get closer
to the ship date (mid-June or so) so you can check out anything
that is pressing for your workflow. We also have a full 30-day
return policy for upgrades, so if something isn't there that you
were hoping for, you can certainly return it for a refund.

Heh, heh! Our messages crossed!
What I wanted to know (and posted on the Forum as well) is what bug
fixes we can expect. While the improved lyric spacing is welcome, and
I suspect that Improved Pickup Measures means that bugs and general
weirdness associated with pickups has been dealt with, we really are
more concerned with bug fixes than with new features.
Can you promote that at all (meaning, tell us about it?)
Christopher
