Regarding your MIDI issue, the first thing I'd make sure is that the
expression creating the "swing feel" applies to both staves. If the alto
and tenor parts are on separate MIDI channels, and you have the
expression assigned to the staff with the notes for the tenor, you won't
get playback on the alto staff. In this instance, the quickest solution
is to apply the expression separately to the alto and tenor staves.
