Hello Jef, Selecting the Adobe PDF printer to print a PDF no longer works in 10.6. If you are on 10.6 using Adobe Acrobat Distiller, FinaleScript will not help you. If you have QuicKeys write a sequence to bring up the print dbx, select "Save As Postscript" under the PDF pull-down menu, and send the PS file to a "watched folder" then Distiller creates your PDF. Next, set the sequence to batch. It's a weird workaround but I receive specific job optioned PDFs due to the fact that you can set different watched folders that will use specific job options. I don't have to worry about using an incorrect job option for a project.
Another option is to select "Save as Adobe PDF" under the PDF pull-down menu (within the Print dbx) but it takes too long to run and is not predictable enough to script. Frankly, I would say that if you have an old 10.4 machine around, use that as a PDF creator. Hope that helps, Steve 12/22/10 7:30 AM, "SN jef chippewa" <[email protected]> wrote: > > macfin2010 > > i can't figure out the commands necessary to do this. have 70 docs i > need to print, can send to a printer but need to generate PDFs. > > possible with finalescript or do i have to do this one by one? > > _______________________________________________ > Finale mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale > su.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
