I'm not sure I understood all the issues, but it seemed to me like the orchestra is threatening liquidation (chapter 7) as a response? What is the LO Foundation's purpose if not to feed money to the orchestra? There seems to be a lot going on that wasn't in the cited articles. Seems to me it would be better if arts organizations had a majority of artists instead of business people, as this whole thing smells like a scenario where the business types are dominating the decision making. Terrible, terrible situation, and particularly tragic given the near- heroic history of this particular orchestra. -- David W.
