One other caveat about part of what David H. Bailey wrote: a ~tif file must not only be uncompressed, but a single layer file, so transparency in the tif format is not supported. Also, since Jim doesn't indicate what version of Finale he is using, at least not in any of the messages from him that I have archived, it may be that his version does not support ~.jpg images. I don't remember what version first included this capability.
