Thanks, Nice to be appreciated, but not so good to be thought a hero. The hero and the scapegoat are two sides of the same coin! I did work and record with George (my first jobs in New York in 1960). David Young was the tenor player, and Alan Kiger (as far as I know, still in Muncie, IN) and Don Ellis were the trumpet players. I have had occasion recently to work with the drummer from that band, Joe Hunt, who is still playing beautifully.
In reference to jazz piano DVDs (let's stick to the subject), the ones with Bill Evans that I like the best are from two BBC shows hosted by Humphrey Littleton. They are released on some Japanese label and should be available. For film buffs, if you watch the whole performance, you can see the British actor, John Le Measurier, in the front row of the audience.
