It depends on the category you duplicated to make the new one. Check out the Category Designer box for 'Dynamics' for example and you'll find that the Staff List stuff isn't at the bottom. You can duplicate that category and set it up as you like with more freedom. Learned this one by doing exactly what you did and going near crazy trying to figure it out.

There's "top staff," "bottom staff," or any of the staves in the score -- but the staff I assign these expressions to changes with each use. Am I missing something? Or should I not be using expressions for this, and instead use measure-assigned text boxes?
