Hello!
A new plugin called JW Change Pitches is now available for download from
the Finale Productivity tips site. ("Downloads" section, "Plug-ins"
subsection.)
www.finaletips.nu
JW Change Pitch is a plug-in for Finale 2010 and later versions. It
changes all notes of one pitch within the region to another pitch.
Useful for example for correcting enharmonic spellings in a region, swap
note pitch patterns or change tonality. The window is modeless, so it
can be opened while the document is edited.
The top part of the window is a simple one-note pitch change utility,
for example to correct enharmonic spelling mistakes from MIDI import.
The bottom part of the window contains a multi-pitch part that can be
used for more complex pitch replacements, such as swapping a pitch pattern.
(If the "Respace" option is set, the region will respace the music
spacing in the region after the pitch replacements. That setting works
with both the top and bottom part of the window.)
One word about the "Direction" option: the direction is first based on
the "printed" vertical level. If the notes are on the same vertical
level, the state of the accidentals are compared for the direction. This
means that Eb is considered to be higher than D## (or Dx), since E is
printed higher vertically than D.
Best regards,
Jari Williamsson
