Subtle differences. Segue ("follows") indicates moving directly to the next thing, which often requres a change of mood or meter or key, while attacca (which I assume means "attack"!) means connect without the slightest break. In Broadway scores "segue" often means hold for applause, but start the next number as the applause dies down, so it does allow for a space. "Attacca" means no break, no how. John -- John R.
