OK, this will be different. I have a client that I've laid out a 400+ measure score for string orchestra. When I first started it, I knew there would probably be some quarter-tone notation, but I didn't set up a nonstandard key; I opted to do it in C.
Now edits and rewrites are coming back in and there are a some places where quarter flats and sharps are needed. So, as I've done in the past, I set up a non-standard key setting using the appropriate symbols the client wants. So far so good. The problem is now all the original sharps and flats are 1/4 tone low thruout the score. The only way I've been able to fix them is one at a time; tedious to say the least. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I may be able to fix this? Normal transposition routes are based on 1/2 steps, so that doesn't work. Thanks.
