in F2012 (recently upgraded from 2010) i am really having trouble with the way staff groups work.
i have over 60 groups somehow defined in the document... when i "reset all groups and brackets" they are set to what finale thinks is right, not to what i defined in scroll view. for example, i set the bracket which includes fl2-3 to also include piccolo, reset brackets and the piccolo is no longer included in the flutes group bracket because it is considered to be another instrument (?!). i have unchecked "Automatic Instrument Family Group Brackets" in Program Options-Edit. what is the best way to deal with this? set the piccolo in score manager to flute (so it appears as fl. 1) and then set the piccolo as a region in the score manager? even if it plays piccolo in the entire score? _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
