It's a feature not a bug! That is, they mean for it work that way, but by
all means write it up:

Workarounds:

1 Change the staff lines with a staff style (which is what I did).

2 It may be possible to select the rest of the staff after the single bar
and change it to the other instrument. I can't remember if I tried it.
