It might be that it only APPEARS to be where it is, and then as soon as the 
layout is updated and the screen redrawn after a Music Spacing command, it 
appears where it really is, off the page. I have this problem with Repeat texts 
all the time. It seems that first of all, the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you 
get) is screwed up, like for articulations, and second of all, that the amount 
you position a text marking is calculated in FIXED amounts, rather than in 
relative amounts. This means that if you drag something 2 inches left in the 
score, then in the part it also gets positioned 2 inches left, even though 
because of the staff scaling it only needs to be positioned 1.6 inches. Larger 
distances seem to multiply, and may even put something completely offscreen. 
Check your part in Scroll View and see if you can find the marking.
