i just had to find a better solution... the PI will work, but can be undone easily. if you want to never have to worry about the positoning being changed after applying music spacing: - enter a whole rest and your whole note defined as a tuplet of 4 halfs : measure duration (4 quarters, 3 quarters, 6 8ths) - hide first rest and tuplet number and bracket - move notehead (not the note itself) -48 EVPUs (depending on font) - apply music spacing and update layout - enter a whole rest in layer 2 to check notehead offset in layer 1, once you get it right, erase layer 2 and copy wherever needed (it will work in different time sigs) _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
