I use the iPad Finale App and it works very well for what I need to do. It is
only a player, you cannot edit music on it. I use it for accompaniments for our
vocal quartet. We plug it into the house sound system (or you can use an
amplified speaker.) I no longer have to carry and set-up my sequencer. It's
also easier to rehearse in the middle of a number as the iPad shows the Finale
pages and you can move the playback marker. I think they might add editing
later, but not sure.

And it's free, so play with it.

  Subject: [Finale] iPad & Finale

I have just had a relatively expensive repair to my laptop screen hinges so
I have been considering getting an iPad for use with my camera. I was
wondering if anyone has experience of using an iPad with Finale and whether
the experience was positive or negative. I use the computer keyboard and
speedy edit in Finale exclusively, so I suspect an iPad is not going to be a
very efficient tool, but just in case it is, I thought I would ask the
question. And can the iPad be connected to a second monitor, leaving the
iPad as the input device only?
  Regards,
