ha! ok.

very simple, another trick with hidden tuplets, this way the grace
note appears on the beat, the "real" note right after. 2 tuplets are
needed, as an example, an eighth note grace and a quarter real note.

tuplet 1 -- 1 8th : 1 64th (or 32nd, depending on your spacing needs)
tuplet 2 -- 17:16 64ths

resize grace to your default settings (i use 80, find it much better
looking that 75%), add slash (shape expression) if needed

some fussing, but you could do it once in a scratch staff and
copy/edit as needed.

advantages:
- works with spacing
- works with playback with no fussing
- drag-enclose assign articulations works on this grace note
- contrary to normal grace notes, the H position of the grace is not
fixed in linked parts (great for transposing instruments)

disadvantages:
- little bit of fussing to set the 1st example up
- you may still need to adjust the beat chart if you find there is
too much space before beat 2 (which will be lost if you again run
music spacing)
