I didn't see it wanting to use Java. I do have Java installed, whatever the latest version is on 10.9.
I did notice that the first time you run the Demo, it scans all your plugins, but doesn't tell you that it is, so it appears it has HUNG but it hasn't. And I had to force quit at least once cause it got hung up on a plugin (Sibelius sound thing I think). It would be nice if the program told you what it was doing. Every other DAW or thing that uses Audio Units tells you it is scanning.........and if it gets hung up you can have a reasonable idea what plugin was causing it.....
