John, you can edit staff line thickness (Documents --> Program Options) to get better visibility. Staff line default (I think) is 0.00781 and ledger lines are twice as thick, so you could choose a size in between, say .0117. Depending on the music (notes) font you use you might want to set all note sizes a *little* smaller to accommodate... -Cecil Rigby Liberty, SC
