There are two different sound sources provided with recent versions of Finale. One is a subset of GPO instruments (and that subset may well mean reduced variations on particular instruments as well as reduced overall number of instruments), and the other is a GM soundfont, which has been included with Finale far longer than GPO sounds have been included. -- David H.
