Sorry Barbara, for my brevity,
 Finale has a scan feature, though limited, will sometimes pull in TIFF
Files and notate them. Sometimes they sound perfect but look too distorted
to manipulate.  Sometimes they come in almost perfectly and stray notes can
be moved back into place, but other times they do not come in at all. If
you have the PDFs of the score it may be that they can be turned into TIFF
files and scanned back in, being aware it can be like playing Russian
Roulette, as sometimes it works and sometimes not.
There are upgrades to that software that can be paid for.  I have not tried
them so do not know how well they work.  Depends on your scanner as well,
but that may not matter these days as much as it used to.
