Hi Chuck, I just realized, after asking the question, that if I change the "Playback Effect" from "None" to something defined but harmless — like "Transposition > Set To Value = 0" — then HP will ignore the expression.
YMMV but for me this removes my single biggest frustration with Fin2014 playback. Wish I'd thought of it a long time ago!
