Use the Special Tools and select the "Broken Beam" tool -- it's the 6th one down in the panel if you have it showing vertically and the 6th one from the left if you have the panel showing horizontally. Then click on the notehead and click on the top handle, which will flip the 16th beam to the left side (the correct side) of the stem. -- David H.
