Each Staff Style has to have in its definition the “Copyable” box checked. Most of the ones that come built-in with Finale have this checked, but whenever you create a new one, the box is UNchecked by default, so you have to remember to check it.
Also, even if the Staff Style has been copied in the score correctly, there are strong chances that it will not show up in the parts correctly. To solve this, go to the score after all Staff Styles are entered, select the Staff Tool, select All, and choose from the Staff menu “use selected staff styles in all parts and score” (or something like that.)
