Very true! There's a very good book by the late Andrew Stiller, long a mainstay of this group, called "Handbook of Instrumentation." It's available through Nick Carter Imaging: http://www.npcimaging.com/software/frameset2.htm I've found it to be a very accurate guide to ranges, techniques, potential problems, etc. Far better than asking humans whose egos may get the better of them. It's available as a paper book, on CD-rom or in a combined package. -- David H.
