When I updated to a retina Macbook Pro laptop last year Finale 2012 looked so bad that I ended up moving to 2014.
Since 2014d was updated to 2014.5 just to allow Finale to run on El Capitan, I would expect that you would have problems running 2010 on that OS, but I'm just guessing. Maybe someone else has some direct experience?
