I’ve been having a lot of problems with instruments not loading completely. Generally, I try three things:
Under MIDI/Audio, select Play Through MIDI, then toggle back to Play Through Audio Units. If this doesn’t do it completely, I try Reassign Playback Sounds. As a last resort, I open a Speedy frame, enter a rest, then put the cursor on the rest, hold down a MIDI key and hit Enter. This sometimes forces the instrument to load so it can sound the note. Strangely, entering notes the normal way does nothing for loading sounds.
