Finale 2002 was before linked parts. You have to create the parts (you can do 
this automatically) in Document Menu>Manage Parts… Generate Parts.

Then you should format them, because the default job Finale does kind of sucks.

Some people still extract parts into their own files, but this is only 
necessary under a few conditions, probably that don’t apply to two instruments.
