I started with Finale 1.0, preordering it before it was actually available. Don't ask me how much it cost. >>shudder<< (You other 1.0 users know exactly how much!)
Before that I was using Deluxe Music Construction Set and ProCo. For the twentieth anniversary (F09 I believe), MM released a standalone app that runs Finale 1.0 inside a Mac 512 virtual machine. Last time I checked you could still download it. How far we've come! (I can still run my Mac OS 9 versions of Finale in Sheepshaver running on 10.11.
