Same happens to me, if a source in the shape of a heavy book slides onto part of the alfa-numeric keyboard, so that one or more keys are partially or fully depressed.
It might also happen, if one of your alfa-numeric or function keys is sticking. My remedy for that is about sliding my fingers over all keys to unstick the unknown culprit.
