For the non-techie, a "modeless" window is one that you can click away from
without dismissing the window. Document windows and palettes are example of
modeless windows. As are some plugin windows.

A long-standing irritation with Mac modeless plugin windows is that when a
dialog box pops up, the modeless window grabs focus away from the document
window. (This behavior dates back to the OSX transition and Finale 2004.)

I recently discovered a near-trivial program change that fixes this problem
for Mac Fin2014.5 and higher. I am working on an update to my plugin suite
that fixes all of my modeless windows. (These include Mass Copy, Page Title
Copy, Copyist Helper, among others.) Using the new versions feels like
someone stopped beating me in the head.

I have also figured out a way to solve the problem for windows I don't own.
But doing so demands a conservative approach. The list of non-owned windows
I'm willing to tickle must be short and well-defined. So far it is a list
of one: Space Systems.

My question for the list is, other than my suite and Space Systems, what
other modeless windows would you like to be able to leave open on the
desktop but can't because of this problem?
